People Helping People Today, Inc. aims to provide wholistic programming for student athletes that will highlight the importance of the “educational” opportunities afforded by athletic excellence, provide a more realistic view of the college experience as a student athlete, emphasize the importance of graduating from a college program, and providing a roadmap for post collegiate achievement and community mindedness. Of utmost importance is to relay an understanding to African American youth that basketball is only one facet of life and the ability to attend and graduate college will cultivate many more facets that allow maturation and accomplishment today.
People Helping People Today, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2002 Winfred Jordan saw the need to help assist the youth throughout the Metropolitan Area of Atlanta. Today, People Helping People Today, Inc., has an Academic Tutorial, Life Skills Building Program, SAT and ACT Tutorial, Violence Prevention Program, Mentoring and Community Awareness Activities.
